Job Title Manager Open Pit Job Roster Perth based role then transition to site Exciting new project Job Summary Oversee above ground mine operations and production Job Statement Tower Hill is a bulk, shallow high-grade open pit opportunity located 2km north of the Gwalia mine. Intermittent mining has been conducted at Tower Hill since 1898. Most recent operations ceased in 2003 with historical production totalling approximately 220,000 ounces. Genesis has assembled a project team to advance the project. The goal is to recommence sustainable production from a Resource base that currently exceeds 1 million ounces with further growth anticipated. We are now seeking a Manager Open Pit to optimise mining activities and cost efficiency to meet forecast production and financial targets, whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental management for Open Pit mining operations at our new Tower Hill site. You will play a key role in this early stage of planning working alongside the technical services team in the Perth office, the role will then transition to a site based role, leading the on site teams The Opportunity: Oversee open pit mining operations performed by the mining contractor to ensure that the Company’s interests are upheld with respect to safety, quality, progress and cost. Ensure mine planning activities are in line with industry best practice and ensure alignment with the site budget and life of mine plan. Evaluate and optimise all new and existing resources. Manage the development of working and effective pit designs. Integrate these into the life of mine schedule. Undertake effective daily, weekly, monthly and long term planning and forecasting for operational and capital expenditure and production physicals to ensure they comply with Company expectations and align with budget and life of mine schedules. As the appointed person, meet the requirements and obligations of Quarry Manager and Alternate Senior Site Executive, in accordance with regulation 675ZR of the Western Australia Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and the Work Health and Safety (mines) Regulations 2022.
