Your next career opportunity As the Manager of the Mathematics and Statistics Learning Centre (MSLC) at the University of Melbourne, you'll lead a dynamic team in delivering innovative, large-scale teaching and learning support. You'll have the opportunity to shape the future of mathematics and statistics educational operations, oversee and integrate cutting-edge technologies that foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include: Provide Administrative Leadership: Oversee MSLC operations, aligning with the school’s education strategy and University-wide initiatives. Manage Educational Systems and Processes: Implement and evaluate programs, technologies, and systems to support large-scale mathematics and statistics teaching. Foster Inclusive Learning: Develop initiatives to improve student equity, accessibility, and learning outcomes for diverse cohorts. Lead Professional Development: Supervise and mentor staff, manage tutor recruitment and training, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Note that this is a professional staff managerial position and does not include any direct classroom teaching. You may be a great fit if: You are a strong leader with a passion for mathematics and statistics education, combining advanced administrative skills with a deep understanding of curriculum and teaching practices in higher education. You may also: Have extensive experience in educational leadership and project management. Possess strong knowledge of mathematics and statistics curriculum at the university level. Demonstrate knowledge of educational technologies and systems. Have excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
