  • The Public Theater seeks a Manager, Corporate Partnerships to join our dynamic Corporate Partnerships team, part of the Marketing Department. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Partnerships, this role is a vital part of stewarding and growing relationships with more than 60 corporate partners/supporters and executing 30+ corporate activations annually. 
  • The Manager will oversee the successful execution of a wide range of corporate activations and events (both at the Delacorte during Free Shakespeare in the Park and downtown throughout the season) while also helping deliver annual revenue goals. This position combines project management, client service, and business development, requiring a detail-oriented, highly organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 
  • Responsibilities:  
  • * Work closely with the Director of Corporate Partnerships to identify and pursue new sponsorship opportunities.
  • * Support the management and growth of existing Corporate Partners by coordinating communications, ensuring smooth execution of activations and benefits, assisting with acknowledgments and reporting, and helping to identify opportunities to enhance current partnerships.
  • * Assist in the cultivation of new Corporate Partners by researching prospects, preparing proposals and pitch materials, and working with the Director of Corporate Partnerships on outreach and acquisition strategies.
  • * Provide onsite support at activations and events, including ticket coordination, giveaways, corporate nights, hospitality events at bothFreeShakespeare in the Park and The Public Theater Astor Place, and other custom activations.
  • * Partner with Marketing and Design teams to create effective collateral, sales decks, and communication materials.
  • * Oversee the acknowledgment process and follow-up for corporate contributions and donations.
  • * Contribute to team brainstorming and outreach strategies to engage new partners throughout the year.
  • Requirements:  
  • * The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in corporate partnerships, sponsorship, or client-facing relationship management, with sales experience considered a plus. Experience in nonprofit arts or entertainment is preferred, and familiarity with Tessitura or a similar CRM is advantageous. We are seeking a self-starter who can work independently as well as collaboratively, with minimal supervision.
  • * The role requires someone who is exceptionally organized, flexible, and detail-oriented, with a proactive and positive attitude. 
  • * Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and a high level of professionalism and discretion are essential, along with the ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • * Candidates must be able to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required for events, and should be comfortable with some light lifting.
  • * Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook isrequired, while knowledge of Tessitura and familiarity with the NYC theater and events industry are considered a plus.

  • The Public Theater supports flexible and hybrid work arrangements. Options can be discussed during the interview process. 
  • This is an exempt full-time position, according to the Fair Labor Standards Act with an annual salary of $75,000.
