Description of Work Salary Range: $39,671 - $69,426 Reporting to the Facility Maintenance Supervisor IV, the Maintenance/Construction Technician III position requires specialization in two or more technical trades in connection with maintenance of facilities, related equipment, and machinery. Position functions at the journey level in multiple skilled trades such as electrical, plumbing, masonry, heating and air, or similar specializations. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: - Completing complex work assignments which require planning and/or coordinating multiple trade disciplines. - Working assigned tasks independently and referring very technical or unusual working problems to a supervisor for consideration. - Training and/or supervising offender workers engaged in semiskilled, unskilled, or skilled maintenance assignments. - Performing special repairs and assignments that are received by work orders form authorized personnel and ensuring compliance with the work orders. - Maintaining and ensuring equipment is in proper working condition. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Management Preferences: Working knowledge of the methods, practices, tools, and/or materials used in the general maintenance and/or repair of buildings, equipment, and/or machinery Necessary Special Qualification: MAY require current certification by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician as required by Title 40, Code of Federal Regulations Part 82, Subpart F.
