The Macro Space Planner role at MECCA is critical in shaping how customers discover the world’s most loved beauty brands in our unique and distinctive store formats. This role balances design and data, translating brand strategy, customer insights and business objectives into considered floorplans that delight customers, support our teams and deliver commercial outcomes. Every store is thoughtfully and carefully brought to life in a way that reflects the very best of MECCA. Impact extends across the network through smart, consistent space decisions. Working alongside Brands & Buying, Visual Merchandising, Store Development and Retail Operations. The Macro Space Planner brings clarity to complex inputs and turns them into floorplans that elevate in-store experiences. The Role you Could Play From concept through to delivery, the Macro Space Planner supports the full store-layout lifecycle. Using in-house space planning software, they design and maintain floorplans that optimise flow, maximise brand visibility and uphold brand standards. A key part of the role is active participation in cross-functional forums to safeguard business and category priorities. Success is defined by floorplans that elevate the customer experience while achieving commercial objectives, clear communication of plans and outcomes to stakeholders and leaders, and insightful analysis of performance and customer feedback that drives continuous improvement. In this role you will: Create and maintain network-wide floorplans that enhance the customer journey and deliver on business objectives Build the brand overlay floorplan for our new stores, incorporating fresh concepts, design innovation and world-class retail experiences Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency across category and brand layouts Share plans and outcomes with clarity to build understanding and alignment across teams and leaders Monitor performance using data and customer feedback, identifying opportunities and making recommendations What You will Bring 3+ years’ experience in retail, merchandising, space planning or a related field Strong attention to detail and problem-solving applied to customer-led decisions Proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver with accuracy Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with adaptability to changing business needs Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes Strong written and verbal presentation skills Tertiary qualifications in Retail, Business, Merchandising or a related discipline (preferred) Your Life At MECCA Whilst we are singularly focused on our #CustomerFirst mantra, we know that wouldn’t be possible without an incredible team that is guided by our MECCA values and motivated each and every day to be solutions focused, innovative, collaborative and adaptable, and have a bit of fun along the way!
