About

We’re a rapidly growing B2B outbound team working across several industries, and we’re looking for someone who is exceptionally good at building accurate, high-fidelity lead lists inside Apollo. - This role is not administrative. - This is not entry-level. - If you haven’t worked deeply inside Apollo before, this won’t be a match. We need someone who can think like an analyst — not just push buttons. WHAT THIS ROLE REQUIRES You must already understand how to: - interpret an Ideal Client Profile (ICP) - convert strategic criteria into filter logic - evaluate job titles, industries, and company attributes for relevance - detect list contamination before it reaches us - run statistical checks on samples to confirm accuracy - fix a list that appears good at first glance but fails deeper inspection - If you can’t troubleshoot and self-correct, you will struggle here. ROLE STRUCTURE & HOURS - Start at ~10 hours per week - Workload increases with active campaigns (likely 15–20 hours/week soon) - Project-based, with flexible timing (not a daily clock-in role) - Hourly at the beginning - Long-term collaboration if you perform well COMPENSATION $3–$7/hr depending on skill level. Those who truly excel will receive more responsibility and more hours quickly. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING We run outbound campaigns in several verticals: - Private lending - Mergers & acquisitions - Investment banking - Digital agencies - Commercial solar Your responsibility: Build highly targeted prospect lists that match the ICP with at least 80% accuracy, using Apollo. Your workflow will look like this: 1. Receive an ICP & campaign context from me Example scenario: “We’re exploring an outbound campaign for a Commercial Solar Installer. Their solution helps businesses spending $1K+ per month on electricity reduce costs by 30%+. We need to target organizations that are likely hitting that threshold. Manufacturers, cold storage facilities, warehouses, tech companies, etc. are strong candidates.” 2. Translate the ICP into Apollo search logic This includes: - choosing precise industries - selecting correct job titles - adding relevant company keywords - excluding the wrong types of firms - setting headcount ranges - tightening the logic to eliminate irrelevant companies (Spoiler: your first attempt will rarely be clean — you need to revise.) 3. Validate the list BEFORE sending it to me You will: - randomly pick ~30 companies from the list - check their Apollo descriptions - verify that 80%+ actually match the ICP - document the results - revise the search if accuracy is below the threshold - repeat until the list is genuinely aligned 4. Deliver the SEARCH CRITERIA, not the exported data Initially, I only need: - the link to the Apollo search - the filters you used - industry list - job titles included - inclusion keywords - exclusion keywords - short QC notes - the fit rate of your random sample Later, list exporting may be added — but not at the start. TOOLS YOU MUST KNOW Required: - Apollo (deep experience — this is non-negotiable) - ChatGPT (for interpreting ICP descriptions and assisting with logic) Nice-to-have (but not required): - Propstream (sometimes needed for niche projects) - LinkedIn Sales Navigator - Clay - Google Sheets WHO WILL BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE We want someone who is: 1. analytical and intellectually sharp 2. extremely detail-focused 3. strong at filtering and problem solving 4. able to catch subtle mismatches 5. capable of translating abstract strategy into hard filters 6. methodical and consistent 7. comfortable asking clarifying questions 8. This is not a job for someone who only follows rigid steps mechanically. 9. This role suits someone who enjoys figuring out why a list isn’t clean — and fixing it. EXAMPLE OF AN ACTUAL TASK YOU WILL RECEIVE You might get a message like: “We’re planning a campaign for a commercial solar installer. Target: businesses spending at least $1K/month on electricity. Industries to explore: manufacturing, logistics, warehouses, cold storage, etc. Build an Apollo search based on that ICP. The list must have under 20% irrelevant results. After building it, pull 30 random companies and confirm they actually fit by reviewing their Apollo descriptions. Adjust filters until the list is clean.” During your first few weeks, tasks like this will be the core of your work. GROWTH PATH IF YOU PERFORM WELL additional weekly hours involvement in more complex ICPs potential ownership of entire list-building workflows increased pay deeper involvement in QA or early campaign setup HIRING PROCESS After shortlisting top candidates, we will provide a small paid test task to evaluate your logic and accuracy. We won’t test before choosing finalists. TO APPLY, PLEASE INCLUDE: Your experience level with Apollo (be specific) How you personally ensure list quality A previous example of an ICP → filters you’ve created Your available weekly hours Your hourly rate Why detail-oriented analytical work appeals to you Only apply if you enjoy investigative, high-precision work.
