  • This is a great opportunity to be a part of a brand new kitchen, in operation for close to a year. We're looking for a dedicated Line Cook who will play a key role in all kitchen operations. You'll assist the chef and cooks in preparing ingredients and meals, while also helping with a variety of events.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Some culinary experience is preferred.
  • Assist with setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
  • Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.).
  • Must be able to follow recipes and understand standards of food quality and taste.
  • Demonstrate and understand standards of food quality and taste according to recipe specification.
  • Ensure all food is put away, labeled, dated, and rotated properly.
  • Ability to learn and follow all Sanitation Guidelines for safe handling of food.
  • Perform daily cleaning as directed by culinary team.
  • Assist in set up and execution of catering, banquet, and regular restaurant events.
  • Monitor and minimize product waste and ensure waste logs are completed.
  • Use knives correctly to include use of cut glove to chip, cut, dice.
  • Assist with putting away dry stock, refrigerated and frozen foods when delivered by food service vendors. Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
  • Help maintain an orderly, clean kitchen, eating and service areas, storage and cooler/freezer facilities, serving line and the dish drop off area.
  • Assist with washing dishes, glassware, silverware, pots/pans and other kitchen items.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
  • Requirements
  • Qualifications
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.
  • Will be exposed to chemicals used in typical cleaning supplies.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
