Day Shift - 7.5 Hours (United States of America) Richmond University Medical Center is seeking a passionate and skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our Youth Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Program. This grant-funded program provides comprehensive, community-based behavioral health services to youth and their families. The LMHC will deliver trauma-informed, person-centered care in both clinic and community settings, working closely with an interdisciplinary team to support each client’s individual needs. Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality clinical services in compliance with NYS Mental Hygiene regulations, RUMC policies/procedures, and standards for confidentiality, child abuse/neglect reporting, and documentation. Provide trauma-informed, person-centered care in accordance with program guidelines and client clinical needs. Collaborate with external providers, schools, physicians, and community agencies to coordinate care and enhance client outcomes. Incorporate case management duties into clinical work to support holistic care. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, clinical supervision, agency trainings, and high-risk case conferences. Maintain active professional development by attending at least four trainings per year. Meet departmental expectations for productivity, documentation, and patient engagement. Manage time effectively, including adherence to work schedules, patient appointments, and outreach requirements. Perform other duties as assigned by program leadership. Qualifications: Current New York State Licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) – required Experience providing behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and families preferred. Strong knowledge of trauma-informed and person-centered care models. Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. Ability to thrive in a community-based, team-oriented environment.
