Our collaborative, hands-on approach provides interns with a unique opportunity to gain exposure across multiple aspects of construction and development while contributing to real projects.

• Program Overview
• Our 10-week summer internship is designed for motivated students seeking practical experience in construction management, project delivery, and the broader real estate development lifecycle. Interns will rotate through project teams, shadow leaders, and complete a final capstone presentation highlighting their learnings and contributions.

• What You’ll Do

• Support project managers and superintendents with daily project tasks
• Gain exposure to LG Development, LG Builders, LG Design, and affiliated ventures
• Participate in both on-site fieldwork and in-office operations
• Assist in project tracking, reporting, and coordination with subcontractors
• Contribute to ongoing construction administration tasks (RFIs, submittals, scheduling)
• Attend stakeholder meetings and observe cross-functional collaboration
• Prepare and deliver a final presentation to LG leadership at the conclusion of the program

• Key Learning Opportunities

• Understanding the lifecycle of a construction project from preconstruction through close-out
• Exposure to multiple project types across residential, commercial, and mixed-use builds
• Experience working directly with LG Builders’ leaders including Andrew, Kirk, Vince, Stephanie, Adam, and Brent
• Insight into how LG’s culture of collaboration and innovation drives success

• Who You Are
• Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
• Strong communicator, proactive, and eager to learn
• Interested in hands-on exposure to construction project management and field operations
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented and adaptable in a dynamic environment

• Program Details
• Start Date: Monday after Memorial Day
• End Date: Mid-August
• Schedule: Full-time (40 hours), Monday–Friday
• Location: Mix of on-site project locations and LG Builders’ Chicago office
• Pay: $20/hour
• Requirements
