- POSITION OBJECTIVE
- The Lead Recreation Attendant is responsible for the overall operations of the health club facility, including maintaining high standards in club services and operations, developing recreation partnerships/ activations/ resort programming, and increasing sales/memberships.
- ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- * Ensure club cleanliness, and facility and equipment maintenance.
- * Maintain and increase club revenue.
- * Establish and maintain member policies.
- * Participate in planning new member initiatives.
- * Enforce all club and hotel policies.
- * Ensure overall member satisfaction.
- * Maintain communication with all departments of the hotel.
- * Oversee training of club employees.
- * Ensure departmental adherence to SOPs and support with development of additional resources, as required/ identified.
- * Perform daily walk-through inspections and weekly written inspections and follow-up.
- * Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary. Answer all member complaints and suggestions.
- * Purchase monthly guest/ operating/ required supplies.
- * Ensure all financial revenue is accurately recorded and reconciled.
- EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- * High school or equivalent (GED) education required.
- * Basic cash handling knowledge.
- * Computer skills (Microsoft Office 365) required; experience with OPERA Cloud, Nuvola, and EZFacility preferred.
- * First aid and CPR certifications preferred, however not required.
- * Personal training certifications and COI not required.
- REQUIREMENTS
- * Must be able to facilitate the communication process: speak, read, write and English.
- * Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written, and use of two-way radio device.
- * Must possess basic computer skills.
- * Must possess basic cash handling knowledge.
- * Must be able to respond to guest requests and business volume quickly and efficiently.
- * Must be able to co-ordinate various operational tasks/ responsibilities simultaneously while also meeting deadlines.
- * May be required to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- * Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
- * Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
- * Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours or more in length.
- * Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments and locations of the hotel on a timely basis.
- * Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
- * Must be able to bend, squat and lift up to 75 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
- * Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
- * Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
- WORK ENVIRONMENT
- * Most work tasks are performed indoors. The temperature generally is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems; however, must be able to work in extreme temperatures, i.e. outdoor pool/hot tub/ sauna areas (fluctuating between -2°F and +90°F), intermittently.
- * Must be able to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions.
- * Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basis.
- * Must be able to execute the facility organization including re-setting of equipment upwards of 25lbs, intermittently.
- * Must be able to work effectively in a stressful environment, communicate with others, effectively handle/ assist customers and accept constructive criticism from supervisors.
- * Most tasks are performed in a team environment with the Assistant Director of Rooms acting as the primary directive provider – based on operationally and financially backed information. There is minimal direct supervision.
- * Perform any general cleaning tasks in public areas using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards.
- * Ensure that all operations departments and employees comply, on a consistent basis, with all Fire Department Safety codes and OSHA guidelines.

Employer-provided Basic Life Insurance and Basic AD&D are provided after 90 days of employment. 401K eligibility is available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment, part-time employees can qualify to participate in a 401(k) plan after two consecutive years of working at least 500 hours.
