What you will do

  • Duties include both administrative and clinical responsibilities such as greeting patients, checking patients in/out, scheduling appointments, handling high call volume, assisting with procedures, performing phlebotomy, and other basic medical assistant duties as requested by the Providers, Team Leaders, or Health Center Manager, all while providing upstanding care and respect to our patients.

  • Requirements
  • QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND KNOWLEDGE: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required. Previous experience as a Medical Assistant preferred. Ability to work effectively with all levels of care team and other colleagues. Ability to interpret and apply guidelines and procedures. Ability to use good reasoning and judgement. Proficiency in basic computer skills. Demonstrate good listening and customer service skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) may be required.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is primarily active in nature. A great deal of time is spent escorting patients throughout the health center. Light physical activity may be required to assist patients with mobility. Travel between health centers may be required.
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is primarily performed in a busy multi-cultural ambulatory care setting. There is routine exposure to infectious disease, blood borne pathogens and other conditions common in a clinical environment.
