- The Lead-Generating HVAC Technician plays a critical dual role: providing exceptional residential HVAC service while identifying and creating sales opportunities. This technician not only diagnoses and repairs systems but also educates homeowners on comfort, efficiency, and system improvement options—ultimately generating qualified leads for the Comfort Advisor (HVAC Sales Representative) to follow up and close the sale.

- Key Responsibilities
- Perform residential HVAC service calls including inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and minor repairs.
- Build strong customer rapport through professionalism, clear communication, and trust-based interactions.
- Identify comfort issues, aging equipment, and energy inefficiencies that may benefit from replacement or upgrade.
- Present findings to customers in a clear, consultative manner—positioning the value of a full system evaluation by a Comfort Advisor.
- Generate qualified sales leads and schedule in-home consultations with the Comfort Advisor team.
- Document all service visits and sales opportunities accurately in the company CRM.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure smooth transitions from service to sales.
- Meet or exceed lead generation goals and performance metrics.
- Stay current on product knowledge, rebates, financing options, and company promotions to effectively communicate with homeowners.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance for self, vehicle, and workspace.
- Follow all safety and compliance guidelines.
- Requirements
- 2+ years of residential HVAC service experience preferred.
- EPA Certification required; NATE certification a plus.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable discussing system upgrades, indoor air quality, and comfort solutions.
- Proven ability to generate leads or influence customer decisions in a service environment.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented mindset.
