  • Operates equipment and machinery used for processes such as packaging, bindery, finishing and print production not requiring highly specialized training or certifications.
  • May do setups, adjustments and cleanups.
  • At higher levels may include equipment with multiple inline processes.
  • Operates equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Reads and interprets work orders, blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery.
  • Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, within quality guidelines and in a timely fashion.
  • High school diploma or its equivalent preferred. May have to complete formal training in area of specialty with no to minimal prior experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager.

  • The role is in our large format department, which is a fairly new role and new equipment at the Helena Alphagraphics location. We are looking for someone experiences in Large Format, producing signs, banner, etc, on a variety of substrates. We also need to have this role have install experience as well so that they can be involved in producing the work and at times, helping with the installation.
  • We need a self starters with experience in this area. Someone who can help us build out this department and increase sales. Please do not apply for this role if you do not specifically have Large Format and sign/banner installation.
  • This role also can be involved in vehicle wraps and wall/building wraps as needed. If someone has this skill set, this person would be a very valuable member of the team with career opportunities as growth takes place.

  • Responsibilities
  • Set up machines and equipment before production runs, ensuring that they are calibrated and functioning properly.
  • Monitor machines during production runs, checking for any issues or malfunctions and adjusting as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with machines and equipment and make repairs or escalate issues as necessary.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and other workers.
  • Follow production schedules and workflows to ensure that production runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Record production data and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, quality control, and production management, to ensure that products meet customer and industry standards.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve machine operations to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Participate in training and development programs to improve their skills and knowledge of machines and equipment.
  • Perform primary task as well as other tasks assigned as business requires.
