Freelance Video Editor and Social Content Creator Robin Sloan Productions is seeking a freelance video editor to support ongoing social media and content creation projects. This role is project-based and remote. We are looking for someone who brings creativity, attention to detail, and strong storytelling skills to short-form video content. Project Overview We create short-form videos, interview edits, testimonial clips, and social-friendly branded content. The freelancer will edit raw footage into polished deliverables that align with our creative direction and production style. Responsibilities Edit short-form social videos for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, and LinkedIn Create clean, modern edits using strong pacing, captions, sound, and storytelling Work with interview footage, B-roll, and user-generated-style clips Help maintain consistency across templates, brand elements, and style guidelines Organize files, manage versioning, and deliver final assets in correct formats Offer creative suggestions that improve the final product Follow the established workflow and deliver projects on time Requirements Experience editing videos for social media (portfolio samples required) Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve Strong understanding of pacing, captions, transitions, and modern editing styles Ability to take direction, apply feedback, and work independently Strong communication and file-organization skills Willingness to learn new techniques and improve skills over time Bonus: Motion graphics or After Effects experience What We’re Looking For Someone who enjoys the creative process and wants to continue developing their editing abilities A detail-oriented editor who can follow a creative brief while also offering ideas Reliability, professionalism, and consistency in delivering high-quality work About Robin Sloan Productions Robin Sloan Productions is a Chicago based creative studio specializing in social first video content for small businesses, entrepreneurs, and professional service brands.
