**Job Description:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with expertise in Jira Automations and Jira Product Discovery to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive workflow designed to synchronize two distinct Jira Product Discovery (JPD) projects. The ideal candidate will possess a deep and nuanced understanding of Jira's automation capabilities, including but not limited to its advanced features, best practices, and strategic applications. You will be expected to leverage your extensive knowledge to facilitate seamless project synchronization, ensuring that our teams can work collaboratively and efficiently across projects. Your role will involve analyzing current workflows, identifying areas for improvement, and designing automated solutions that enhance our project management processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements, establish benchmarks, and implement robust automation strategies that align with our business objectives. In addition to your technical skills, we are looking for someone with a proven track record of successfully managing project synchronization within Jira environments. Your ability to troubleshoot issues, optimize workflows, and provide ongoing support will be vital to the success of our initiatives. You will also be responsible for training team members on automation best practices and ensuring they are equipped to utilize the tools effectively. What I Need Built When a new Idea is created in CRMGTMINT, the automation must: Set the Status field to “New” by default Generate the next sequential “Intake ID” (custom number field) Assign that Intake ID to the new CRMGTMINT idea Automatically create a parallel idea in FPTCRMINT Copy the following fields from CRMGTMINT → FPTCRMINT: Intake ID Created (custom date field) Target ETA Aa Summary Requester Name Requester Category Impacted Region Link the two ideas so users can navigate between them easily The result should allow both projects to use the same Intake ID as a shared identifier even though Jira issue numbers cannot match across projects.
