- Summary
- The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining, procuring, receiving, inspecting, and coordinating the effective operational activities of the parts room located at ACI Jet Maintenance while maintaining a positive and productive relationship with ACI Jet’s employees, vendors, and clients by personally performing these duties under the direction of the Parts Manager.

- Requirements
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned as required by management)
- Maintain accurate inventory of parts, materials, and supplies.
- Act as a purchasing agent for parts, materials, and supplies.
- Conducts daily receiving inspections to properly identify and verify parts and quantities. Inspects aircraft parts for airworthiness and proper documentation.
- Return rejected parts, materials, and supplies to vendor and comply with necessary processes.
- Perform and comply with a monthly audit of all shelf-life items held in stock. Properly dispose of and replenish expired items.
- Ensure part cores are returned to vendors with appropriate documentation, in a timely manner. Assist in claims process for aftermarket programs and warranties.
- Maintain documentation of all pending core, warranty, RMA, or other credits that may be due back to ACI. Inform the accounting department of status of these claims.
- Ensures the preservation and storage of all materials, parts, and supplies in a condition enabling them to be installed or used on civil aviation articles. Maintains record of shelf life limited inventoried items in computerized tracking system.
- Perform regular review of vendor invoices prior to submittal to Accounting with allocation of funds. Post applicable invoices via electronic tracking system.
- Act in the company’s best financial interest with consideration given to quality, response time, shipping costs, etc.
- Provides accurate reporting of inventories and supplies to accounting as requested.
- Coordinate third-party services. Ensures work is properly performed and documented.
- Provides shipping and receiving services for the entire company while ensuring that all parts, materials, and supplies are shipped using the most economical means with consideration given to time-critical items.
- Maintains current Hazmat certifications for shipping. Follows the necessary procedures for Hazmat shipping and tracking.
- Maintains proper records including FAA Form 8130, MSDS documents, traceability documentation, etc.
- Delivers any technical information, documents, or data received through the stock room to the Parts Department Manager.
- Maintains a close, productive, and beneficial relationship with clients, vendors, manufacturer’s representatives, repair facilities, and the FAA.
- Ensures the safety and quality of all assigned duties and responsibilities by actively and positively participating in ACI Jet’s SQMS program.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid CA Driver’s License with a clean record.
- Must be able to travel when required to deliver parts/tools to remote locations.
- Must be able to work as a part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
- Must be highly motivated and organized.
- Must be computer proficient (MS Office, Microsoft Excel, Corridor).
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds, climb, kneel, squat, and stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Highly Desirable
- Dangerous Goods, HazMat shipper training is a plus.
- Aviation background or interest.
- At least one (1) year of experience in inventory management or general accounting
- College degree preferred.

- Requires joining a 24/7 on-call rotation.

- $20.00 - $28.00/hour | DOE
