  • Description

PURPOSE

  • In accordance with company policies and procedures, responsible for receiving and handling of raw materials and finished goods inventories to support sales, operations, supply chain and accounting functional areas.

CRITICAL FUNCTIONS

  • Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
  • Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
  • Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
  • Cycle Count Inventory
  • a) Count individual items per count sheet per day (est. min 25 items)
  • b) Researching the cause of inventory discrepancies and making necessary corrections.
  • c) Compare count to on hand value for any variance.
  • d) Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity.
  • e) Maintaining product identification and location program.
  • f) Tracking, and reporting non-conforming product.
  • g) Ensuring all labeling requirements is met in a timely manner.
  • Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
  • Receives material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supplies code and lot number and quantity; placing materials in stock.
  • a) Unload packages from incoming trucks
  • b) Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
  • c) Verify packages according to order (quantity, quality, price etc.)
  • d) Contact supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified
  • Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries
  • Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements
  • Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place
  • Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control

NON-SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS

  • 1. Maintain clean and safe work environment in and around assigned area and throughout office area as requested.
  • 2. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Requirements
  • Proven experience as receiving clerk or similar position
  • Experience in operating forklifts
  • Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs. as part of the job function.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Basic math and recording abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Keen eye for detail
  • High school diploma
  • Willingness to work extended hours if necessary
