- California Faucets is looking to bring on a 2nd shift Inventory Control Specialist. This role is based on-site in our Huntington Beach, CA facility. The hours for this position will be Monday through Friday, full-time from 2:15 pm - 11:00 pm.
- California Faucets, located in Huntington Beach, occupies three buildings in over 80,000 square feet of space. The company operates on a “build-to-order” basis and in doing so, provides its customers with thousands of custom design options. In order to meet its production needs, the inventory consists of tens of thousands of component parts in over 30 different custom finishes.
Proper inventory procedures and controls are critical to the success of the operation. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be involved in the following duties to improve and maintain accurate inventory
- Performing inventory cycle counts: researching and root causing discrepancies, making physical and system corrections to inventory, assisting Purchasing Department in counting and correcting shortage report components.
- Creating and assigning new locations for first article components.
- Maintaining accuracy of production supplies such as labels, stickers, and hardware.
- Creating warehouse inventory transaction reports. Notifying team leader and/or accounting department when transactions exceed established dollar values.
- Performing various inventory corrections resulting from vendor receipts, inventory moves, etc.
- Assisting warehouse staff to locate missing inventory required for parts replenishments.
- Assisting with special projects such as discontinued item removal, damaged parts relocation, mis-labeled items, etc.
- Minimizing overstocks and obsolete/redundant raw material to maximize availability of working capital.
- Ensuring incoming material is received and managed appropriately according to company procedure.
- Identifying, recommending, and implementing improvement processes and systems to reduce errors and improve inventory accuracy.
- Performing additional assignments per management direction.

- Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance and punctuality standards.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
Environmental and Safety Considerations
- Possible exposure to heat, cold, dust, and moderate noise when working in warehouse.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

- The position requires contact primarily within the department on routine matters. Contact with other team members and departments is also required.
Decision Making
- The position requires working from detailed instructions as well as the use of judgment to plan and perform general decisions to solve a problem or select a course of action for a standard or recognized method of operation.
Supervision Received
- Under general supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, assignments are both task-oriented and objective-oriented. Follows established procedures for routine work; receives specific instruction on non-routine problems.
Accountabilities
- After adequate training, the position requires a level of accountability to complete a pre-determined amount of work, counts, or tasks completed per shift.
Education and Experience
- The minimum educational requirement to successfully perform this position is a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate. Someone entering this position should have at least one (1) year working experience performing inventory control. They should have a basic understanding of cycle counts, inventory management, warehouse procedures, and best practices.
Physical Requirements
- The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, use hands to finger, and sit at a desk or office workstation for extended periods of time. The employee is frequently required to stand extended periods of time; reach with hands and arms below and above shoulder; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, twist, or crawl. The employee will be required to push/lift/carry 1-50 pounds routinely.
