The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity. Pima County's Finance and Risk Management Department is seeking a dynamic, motivated part-time intern to join its Internal Audit – Procedures and Training Division. The successful candidate will work as an intern assisting in evaluating and documenting processes and internal controls for County Departments. Duties may include performing financial data analysis; examining compliance with relevant laws, regulations, contracts, grant terms, and bond requirements; and reviewing internal controls for computer software used by County departments. They will work as a member of an internal audit team under the supervision of an Internal Audit Supervisor or Internal Auditor II. Note: This internship position is in-person and in-office. This classification is in the unclassified service and is exempt from the Pima County Merit System Rules. Minimum Qualifications: Qualifications will be determined by the department head at the time of recruitment. Qualifying education and experience must be clearly documented in the "Education" and "Work Experience" sections of the application. Ensure the descriptions provided illustrate your competencies, specifically addressing the required and preferred qualifications.): Pursuing a bachelor's degree (or higher) in accounting or finance. Current junior or senior enrolled at an accredited college or university, or have graduated from an accredited institution within the past twelve (12) months. Cash handling, accounts payable, or accounts receivable experience. Selection Procedure: Pima County Human Resources Department reserves the right to admit to the selection process only those candidates that meet the minimum qualifications. Candidates meeting the minimum qualifications may be further evaluated/scored against any advertised Preferred Qualifications. The hiring authority will interview and select the successful candidate from a referral list provided by Human Resources. Supplemental Information: Licenses and Certificates: Some positions require a valid Arizona Class D driver license at the time of application or appointment.
