National Pump Company, a respected leader and customer-focused provider in pumping technology, for the agricultural, municipal, petroleum, mining, and industrial markets. We are seeking Impeller Balancer/Filler for our Lubbock, Texas manufacturing branch.

JOB SUMMARY

The Impeller Balancer/Filler is required to under-file and balance all impellers for pump assembly, perform various production type processes within the warehouse or production area.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Perform proper hand work using files, deburring tools and grinding wheels
  • Warehouse maintenance – keeping work area clean and safe
  • Use proper techniques for balancing the impellers and be willing to accept frequent supervision and assistance with regard to all tasks
  • Employee will be required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related duties requested by any authorized supervisor and/or the Branch Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Training, Experience, Skills)

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in an industrial product manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
  • This position requires being able to greet customers in a professional manner, package and ship products to customers correctly and on time, pass and maintain OSHA forklift certification, continue self –improvement, and must handle self as an NPC employee in a professional manner.
  • Dependability, orderliness, attendance, quality of work, productivity, initiative, cooperation, and overall knowledge development are all keys to performing this job successfully.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to speak English and hear clearly. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly/occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.79 - $19.62 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
