  • O Bee Credit Union is hiring a Human Resources Specialist to join our amazing team in our Administrative Building. This is a full-time role that plays a vital part in supporting our mission, our Members, and our one-of-a-kind company culture.
  • What You’ll Do
  • As our Human Resources Specialist, this person will play a vital role in talent, engagement and supporting HR functions and ensuring the success of our team members. Responsible for a wide range of HR activities aimed at attracting, developing, and retaining top talent including all team member recruitment, onboarding new team members, assisting in benefit enrollment, HRIS data entry and personnel records management.
  • Responsibilities
  • Recruiting/Staffing
  • · Works with internal hiring managers to recruit, prescreen, and recommend qualified candidates who can best contribute to the success and growth of the credit union.
  • · Responsible for managing internal and external job boards for clear communications related to open positions within the Credit Union. Coordinates and manages background and credit check processes for new team members and volunteers. Oversee all onboarding activities, from issuing offer letters to facilitating a seamless New Employee Orientation experience.
  • · Manages personnel documentation related to recruiting, onboarding, promotions, transfers, and separations.
  • · Runs periodic and ad-hoc reports from the HRIS to track trends in employment and payroll, and to provide reporting as needed to HR and other leaders.
  • · Collaborate with hiring managers and training to schedule new hire start dates and new employee orientation
  • HRIS Maintenance
  • · Provides daily maintenance of HRIS system to include entering new team members, updating team member information, benefit enrollment and personnel action changes.
  • · Responsible for documenting all personnel actions. Partner with Payroll Specialist to ensure timely actions are entered that affect payroll
  • · Ensures accuracy and confidentiality of all human resources data.
  • HR Functions
  • · Monitors incoming HR communication requests and responds or escalates issues to other team members as needed.
  • · Serves as backup for the Payroll Specialist, taking on key responsibilities as needed to ensure smooth operations during their absence.
  • · Serves as a trusted resource for team members, providing guidance and support on HR policies, procedures, and employment-related matters.
  • · Collaborates with team members in HR and other departments on a variety of projects and initiatives.
  • · Actively participates in the Society for Human Resources Management and other professional development opportunities.
  • · Serves as account administrator for NMLS program. Responsible for the enrollment and deletion of all MLO team members as needed in a timely manner. Runs annual renewal process according to national guidelines.
  • Benefit Administration
  • · Assists with benefits administration process to include new hire and open enrollment, including health, life, disability and 401(k) while helping ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • What Desired Qualifications You’ll Bring
  • Education
  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or SHRM-CP preferred.
  • Experience
  • At least 2 years’ experience recruiting, interviewing and benefit administration.
  • At least 2 years’ experience with HRIS required, experience with Paylocity preferred.
  • Must pass a background and credit check.
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA.

  • Location: Lacey, WA
  • Pay range: $25.85-$38.77 and is dependent on experience.
