Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our dynamic HR team. This role is essential in supporting various HR functions, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and enhancing the overall employee experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in human capital management and will be adept at handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist with talent acquisition processes, including recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
- Support employee orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data entry to facilitate effective workforce management.
- Administer benefits programs and assist employees with inquiries regarding benefits administration.
- Collaborate on performance management initiatives, including employee evaluations and training & development programs.
- Facilitate communication between employees and management regarding employee relations issues.
- Participate in strategic planning efforts related to organization design and succession planning.
- Ensure compliance with FMLA, OSHA, and employment & labor law regulations.
- Support affirmative action planning and diversity initiatives within the organization.
- Manage HR sourcing strategies through social media management and ATS platforms such as Lever, Workday, or iCIMS.
- Assist in project management related to HR initiatives and change management processes.
Skills
- Strong understanding of human resources management principles and practices.
- Proficient in data collection, data entry, and administrative tasks with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with employees at all levels.
- Familiarity with payroll systems such as Paychex, Dayforce, UltiPro, or ADP is advantageous.
- Knowledge of performance management systems and tools for employee evaluation.
- Experience with Oracle HCM or SAP SuccessFactors is a plus.
- Ability to manage conflict effectively while fostering positive employee relations.
- Proficient in using HR software tools including Kronos, Ceridian, or PeopleSoft for workforce management tasks.
