Typically aimed at sophomores or juniors who have completed a combination of introductory and advanced coursework. ᅟ Job Summary The HR Student Assistant will perform HR-related tasks and services to support the effective and efficient operations of Student Employment. This role involves following specific instructions and performing clerical work using established routines, with limited analysis and problem-solving required. Primary Responsibilities Assist with full-cycle recruitment, employment verification, and other HR-related responsibilities. Maintain accuracy and compliance in all HR related documents submitted by student employees working on campus and at PCC. Always maintain the integrity and confidentiality of HR files and records. Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws by regularly conducting audits. Assist in planning and executing student employment events. Serve as a point of contact for student employees and managers, addressing their questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner. Provide guidance on university employment policies and procedures. Adhere to attendance and punctuality expectations. Complete other HR duties as assigned. Skills/Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism and diplomacy. Ability to quickly learn Human Resource Information System (HRIS), specifically Workday, and Peoplesoft. Be knowledgeable and compliant with federal and state employment laws, including university employment policies. Proficient with Microsoft Office and other applications. Education Currently enrolled as a student pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field. Work Experience 3 Months of General Work Experience Work Schedule 19 Hours, TBD Commitment Must commit to a year of employment.
