• General Purpose

• The Housekeeping Aide performs a variety of duties for the cleaning and maintenance of KPC facilities. Assists in the receiving, distribution and accounting of clean linen and wearing apparel.

• POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities in qualifying. A typical way would be

• Education

• Less than High School

Experience/Requirements

• On‑the‑job training, preferred knowledge of basic cleaning skills

• OR BY LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE AS FOLLOWS: 
• No previous experience required
• Must meet state labor laws if operating equipment

• KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES

 Knowledge of

•  Absentee replacement of short notice

•  Exposure to infections and contagious diseases

•  Regular exposure to the risk of blood borne pathogens

•  Hazardous anesthetic agents, body fluids and wastes

•  Hazards from electrical/mechanical/power equipment

•  Housekeeping/cleaning agents/chemicals

 Ability to

•  Follow simple instructions

•  Keep simple records of job duties and reports as directed

•  Maintain compliance with principles of acted conduct

•  Communicate effectively with co-workers and management staff
