I am building a hand crafted volcanic world using a true 2D heightmap workflow. The entire world is viewed from a fixed 50,000 foot top down altitude with no zooming. The terrain must read clearly, naturally, and consistently from this single viewpoint. The land should feel like an eroded volcanic region inspired by Iceland with soft mountains, ridges, ash flows, grasslands, forests, and scattered turquoise lakes. Your Role You will create a collection of modular subsectors. Each subsector is sculpted by hand in a heightmap environment and must connect cleanly on all edges. Every piece follows the same terrain rules so the world stays unified. Mountain widths stay within our ranges. Lakes follow our size and color identity. Forest density stays within our guidelines. Grassland remains a major part of the world with natural variation. Valleys and natural low points must form clearly through the elevation flow of the grayscale map.
