We are seeking an experienced Healthcare QA Specialist / Functional Consultant with expertise in OASIS assessments (iQIES submissions) and Electronic Medication Administration Records (eMAR). The role involves testing, validating, and guiding the development of compliance-ready modules in our healthcare software. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with OASIS and eMAR workflows in a home health or long-term care setting, understands CMS and state compliance requirements, and can write functional test cases to ensure our system meets regulatory and usability standards. Responsibilities OASIS / iQIES QA Review the OASIS intake and assessment flow in the application. Validate field mappings against CMS OASIS specifications. Test the end-to-end workflow: intake → OASIS assessment entry → save/submit → XML export for iQIES. Confirm accuracy of exported XML files and ensure they pass iQIES validation. Write test cases in Gherkin format for OASIS workflows. Report defects and gaps in functionality, compliance, or usability. Electronic Medication Administration Records (eMAR) QA / Functional Guidance Review the eMAR module to ensure correct medication scheduling, administration, and documentation flows. Validate handling of PRN medications, missed doses, late entries, and audit trails. Ensure compliance with medication safety requirements (5 Rights of Medication Administration). Test alerting, error handling, and caregiver workflows for real-world usability. Guide the development team with functional best practices for eMAR design and compliance. Write structured functional and QA test cases for eMAR workflows. Requirements OASIS experience: Strong understanding of OASIS (C, D, or E versions), iQIES submission process, and CMS validation rules. eMAR experience: Functional knowledge of medication administration workflows, compliance needs, and real-world usage in healthcare settings. Healthcare QA expertise: Prior experience testing EMR/EHR or healthcare agency software. Ability to write clear test cases (preferably in Gherkin format). Familiarity with XML validation, audit requirements, and healthcare regulations. Strong communication skills and ability to guide developers on functional compliance. Nice to Have Prior hands-on work with CMS OASIS validation tools and test uploads. Direct experience with medication safety compliance in home health, hospice, or long-term care. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance in QA/testing environments. Experience with automation testing for healthcare systems (not required but beneficial).
