  • We are currently seeking a Health Specialist to join our Regional Team in Stuart, Florida.
  •  

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate and provide training, and technical assistance for child and family health, safety services at Head Start Centers.
  • Review, and monitor health records and data entry for accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Head Start partners in the state on health issues (including children exams, immunizations, dental, mental, and nutrition).
  • Work with staff to ensure pre and post operational health and safety checks/procedures are completed as required. 
  • Work with all departments to create and achieve strategic goals.
  • Proficient computer skills using Microsoft applications: Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Must acquire and maintain CPR/First Aid Instructors Certification (Adult/Infant/Toddler) by an accredited organization.
  • Frequent travel in rural areas in/out of the state.  

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Master in Public Health - Public Health, Maternal and Child Health, Nursing, or other health-related field. Three years working with children and families in field related to degree. Head Start experience preferred.

  • Accepted: Bachelor in Public Health - Public Health, Maternal and Child Health, Nursing, or other health-related field. Five years working with children and families in field related to degree. 
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
