WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE The Group Lead is responsible for managing a team of 4-8 CSSM Pfizer colleagues, including Supply Chain Leads (SCL), Expanded Access Leads (EAL), and Supply Chain Associates (SCA). This role ensures efficient and effective planning and management of supply chain projects supporting therapeutic categories in early and late-stage drug development (Phase I-IV). The role involves collaborating to align resources with project needs based on portfolio priorities, sharing best practices, and contributing to strategic, continuous improvement, and digital supply chain initiatives. This includes cross-company efforts within CSSM, GCS, Pharmaceutical Sciences (PharmSci), Medical and Operations teams, Pfizer Global Supply (PGS), and Medical Affairs. The Group Lead is accountable to GCS, broader Clinical Development & Operations (CD&O), and PharmSci leaders for delivering supply chain activities related to planning, design, production, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of high-quality clinical supplies. HOW YOU WILL ACHIEVE IT Lead and manage Pfizer direct reports, including hiring, development, and performance management. Mentor staff to improve clinical supply delivery. Engage with customers and stakeholders to understand project demands and ensure delivery commitments. Track performance metrics and drive continuous improvement. Maintain accurate project information in tracking systems. Ensure compliance with legal requirements and represent CSSM in management notifications. Advocate CSSM/GCS positions on cross-functional teams. Collaborate with GCS colleagues to provide portfolio support. Serve as the primary GCS contact for business development and manage integration with external pharmaceutical companies. Provide leadership during audits and regulatory inspections. Act as an escalation point for clinical supply chain issues. Develop partnerships with key stakeholders across MedSci and partner lines. Lead the development and review of the CSSM strategic plan. Ensure excellence in CSSM Project Management using harmonized tools and systems. Present monthly project updates and encourage knowledge sharing. Drive future CSSM/GCS technology strategies. Influence the external environment by attending conferences and interfacing with industries. Act as the GCS contact with MedSci Category Leads, and ClinOps TA leads building relationships within and across TAs. Ensure alignment with Small Molecule and Biologics PharmSci Team Leads and the Customer Facing Process. Digital Supply Chain: Represent CSSM in data-related initiatives, manage digital issues, and advance the digital strategy. QUALIFICATIONS Must-Have Applicant must have a BA/BS with 12+ years of experience Supervisory experience Nice-to-Have MBA/MS with 10+ years of experience; OR PhD or JD with 7+ years of experience.
