- Job Summary
- Tapping into the power of branding and visual content, the Graphic Designer and Content Producer connects people more deeply to God by creating compelling content that introduces them to the Hope Media Group brands. Working under the leadership of the Manager of Digital Content, this position is responsible for creation and execution of all visual content projects assigned. The focus of this position is to guide the visual direction of HMG brands and produce various print, digital media and marketing campaign creatives including web and social media site content, in collaboration with the Digital Content team, marketing and other key leadership and stakeholders. This position also involves brainstorming digital content ideas, blog writing and assisting the digital team in video shoots and content creation, so that even more hearts can hear, see and experience what Christ’s life changing love can do!
- Essential Functions
- Graphic Design
- Guide the visual direction for all Hope Media Group brands.
- Maintain brand standards and educate HMG team members on best practices for brand use.
- Audit digital platforms (website, app, social media) and ensure all departments are following guidelines and staying on-brand and graphics are optimized for each platform.
- Create visual assets for all brands. Design graphics from initial concept to final product for all Hope Media Group brands. Visual needs include marketing, promotional campaigns, ministry branding, websites, social media, video support, donor, internal needs, email banners, blog feature images and video thumbnails.
- Use Adobe Creative Suite to execute designs and continually learn to improve technical and artistic skills.
- Train and guide new designers in brand style and practices.
- Assist other designers in project management, design concepts and critiques.
- Manage the design request inbox, evaluate project needs and delegate tasks to a designer to complete.
- Meet with internal clients to discuss projects, advise on design practices and determine the best solution. Attend relevant meetings to speak on behalf of designers and communicate the design needs of the organization with the designers.
- Track design projects for awareness of workload for the designers.
- Manage personal design projects to ensure the best solution is achieved in a reasonable timeframe with clear communication with the requestor.
- Manage digital assets (ie. Logos, brand guides, photo management) to allow HMG team members easy access to images.
- Manage graphic design landing page to provide HMG with needed visual assets and clear communication.
- Maintain file organization for the storage and archiving of all Graphic design projects.
- Stay up to date on the latest digital trends and best practices.
- Digital Content Producer
- Find and execute new ideas to grow HMG’s digital presence and online relationship with the current radio audience.
- Create and curate unique and compelling content for Hope Nation. Includes writing, critiquing and editing blog content and brainstorming ideas for blogs, video series, and social media.
- Stay up to date on pop culture, current events, and trends in Christianity.
- Assist in planning and executing video shoots, wherever needed.
- Demonstrated Faith
- Committed to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Be spiritually grounded and Biblically literate.
- Comfortable praying for co-workers in team meetings, leading spoken prayer, and participating in ministry prayer meetings and Bible studies.
- Lives by the Christian principles defined by the Ministry Statement of Faith.
- Participates in on-air fundraisers and prays for donors as needed.
- Has a passion for leveraging the platform of radio for evangelism and discipleship.
- Exhibits a strong moral character.
- Is an active member of a Bible believing local church.

- Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Multimedia design, graphic design or a related filed equivalent
Experience
- 3-5 years of professional Graphic design
- 3-5 years of experience in large-scale design and developing both brand and digital creative, including but not limited to interactive advertising and print design
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Creative thinking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Adobe Creative suite experience (Primarily Photoshop and Illustrator).
- Understanding of SEO best practices.
- Understanding best use of visual images for social media, websites and advertising and guiding internal clients to best design solutions.
- Ability to write clear, conversational copy and compelling headlines with an adaptable writing style (voice and tone).
- Ability to quickly multi-task with extreme attention to detail with effective communication.
- Adept at meeting multiple and simultaneous deadlines.
- Project management experience.
- A passion for meaningful and fun entertainment.
