🧩 Project Overview We’re seeking a Google Cloud expert to perform a deep forensic audit and project recovery for a fragmented eCommerce infrastructure built on GCP. The original team left without documentation or proper version control, and we need someone who can uncover what’s running, recover deployed code, assess risks, and advise on next steps. This is a technical recovery mission — ideal for someone who understands the internals of App Engine, GCP IAM, MySQL, deployment best practices, and how to reverse-engineer what was left behind. The environment was left undocumented, unsecured, and unmanaged. You will be responsible for performing a full system audit and advising whether to rebuild from scratch or salvage and secure the current setup Required Skills Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (App Engine, IAM, Secrets Manager, VPC, Cloud SQL, storage, logging) Experience with reverse engineering deployed apps in App Engine Strong grasp of networking & security in cloud environments Familiarity with PHP, MySQL, Git, and common eCommerce APIs Ability to produce actionable audit findings and practical recovery steps Plus if you are familiar with hubspot, bigcommerce, and short.io APIs Application Questions Please answer all of the following in your own words: Describe a project where you had to audit or recover a cloud environment without full documentation. What steps did you take first, and why? What methods would you use to extract deployed code or configs from App Engine? What are the limitations of this approach?
