Job Description: Lifescape Colorado is seeking an eager, dedicated, and passionate individual to join our team as a Garden Manager In Training. The Garden Manager In Training (GMIT) is a training position for a future Garden Manager position. The GMIT will observe and assist existing Garden Managers in building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients and internal staff. In addition to client management responsibilities, the GMIT will work intensely within the various departments that represent Lifescape Colorado to better understand our processes and types of work that we perform. Job Responsibilities: • Shadow and work alongside Garden Manager throughout the year • Work alongside crews and service departments to improve understanding of services we provide • Develop strong relationships and trust with clients • Assist with frequent client communication by providing weekly updates on property status • Shadow Garden Managers on leads for new maintenance contracts and client meetings • Conduct property inspections on a regular basis (Every 1-2 weeks) • Assist with seasonal color bidding, ordering and installation • Communication with client, crew, and client representative • Assist with enhancement bidding and installation • Assist Garden Managers with showing the client’s vision of property to the crew • Assist Garden Managers with work orders and service requests • Crew Interaction: Meet crews on site on a regular basis to ensure high-quality work, along with strengthening camaraderie and mutual respect • Production Interaction: Effectively create response plan for issues on accounts and communicate with Foremen, Production Manager, Irrigation team, or Sr. GM • GM Teamwork: Collaborate with other Garden Managers to analyze production, costs, gross margins, and other metrics. Help others out with their responsibilities when needed. • Property Care Team: Review and analyze data and metrics to represent performance and progress towards goals. • Communication: Timely and professional communication with team members via email, phone, text or any other format. Adhere to the 10-5 rule (communication received before 5pm gets a same-day response, communication received after 5pm gets a next-day response by 10am) • Meetings: Attend weekly GM Team meeting, weekly One-on-One with Client Service Manager, and other trainings, meetings, promotional events, seminars, garden shows, etc. as identified and scheduled. Company Policy Adherence • Policy: Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures, mission statement, and core values. • Professionalism: Always represent the company in a responsible and professional manner. Seasonal Snow & Other Duties • Snow Captain: Manage a route of snow management properties in the winter months, managing the crew and quality of work performed onsite. • Snow Management: Assist snow crews with plowing or shoveling as needed. • Emergency Phone: Take your turn occasionally being responsible for the after-hours on-call phone. • Other: Special projects and duties as assigned.
