  • Description
  • To provide administrative assistance to the Garage Supervisor in all necessary aspects. Evaluate and replenish inventory, complete vehicle maintenance reports, and ensure they are filed appropriately. Conduct research to ensure supplies are being purchased at the best available price. Evaluate and maintain up to date fuel and vehicle reports including state inspection and licensing.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • 1) Order parts as needed for current repairs.
  • 2) Order and stock shelves with the most used items, as well as nuts, bolts, fuel, hydraulic oil, anti-freeze, and any other stock items.
  • 3) Compare pricing for purchases and get the best pricing when making purchases.
  • 4) Ensure that fleet maintenance is up to date and appropriate paperwork is complete and records of service are filed and easily accessible.
  • 5) Keeps track of fuel used per vehicle, and total driver fuel card usage.
  • 6) Keeps damage reports, per vehicle, equipment, and operators (notify appropriate parties when the damage is considered reckless or a result of unsafe operation/actions).
  • 7) Sets up preventative maintenance schedules and needed reminders.
  • 8) Ability to drive (valid PA State driver’s license) and willing to run for parts if needed.
  • 9) Orders and maintains safe care of inspection stickers.
  • Requirements

  • 3) Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills.
  • 4) Must be organized to keep good records, and filings for maintenance of all equipment and vehicles.

  • 1) Exhibit good attendance habits. Strive to be at work every scheduled workday unless prevented from doing so for viable reasons of health. If a health condition creates an unavoidable absence preventing an employee from coming to work for the day, the employee is required to call in to report the illness and absence before the start of their shift.
  • 2) Exhibit excellent work habits; avoid late starts and tardiness. Strive to be at work as scheduled, at the proper workstation every scheduled workday. Return from breaks and lunches in a timely manner. In the instance of an unavoidable tardy/late start, the employee is required to either previously obtain permission for the tardy/late start or call in to report the tardy/late start to the H/R office.
  • 3) Exhibit good work habits; avoid early departures. Strive to be present and productive until the scheduled shift end of each workday. If an early quit is required and unavoidable, the employee is required to notify and obtain permission for that early quit.
  • 4) Exhibit excellent work habits such as productivity, efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness in the job functions. Strive to work at a reasonable pace, stay busy, remain at the assigned workstation, and job function, and be useful and productive with paid time.
  • 5) Exhibit good work habits by being a great team member; work well with co-workers, be considerate of co-workers, avoid arguments and confrontations, avoid non-productive or destructive behavior, work well with your supervisor, and constructively taking instructions and carrying out assignments given by your supervisor or a member of management.
  • 6) Suggest new/alternate methods, ideas, and solutions to contribute to greater efficiency and improved results. Your opinion matters!
