Mela is a wedding website builder designed specifically for large, multi-event weddings (often 150+ guests). Unlike generic platforms, Mela is built to handle the unique complexities of cultural and multi-day celebrations. The platform will allow couples, planners, and families to seamlessly manage RSVPs, guest imports, seating charts, event details, messaging, and dashboards—all in one place. We’re at the early stage of development and looking for a skilled developer to bring the MVP to life. What You’ll Work On • Building a responsive, modern web app using React, Next.js, and TypeScript. • Designing and implementing a Supabase backend for authentication, data storage, and API management. • Creating core features: • Guest management (import from Excel/CSV, tagging households, grouping plus-ones) • RSVP dashboard with live updates • Event scheduling & reminders • Messaging module (e.g., SMS/email blasts to guests) • Ensuring a seamless user experience for both couples (front-end) and planners (admin tools). • Setting up the project for scalability and future features (dummy/demo data, integrations). Required Skills • Strong proficiency in React, Next.js, and TypeScript • Experience with Supabase (or similar BaaS like Firebase) • Solid understanding of authentication, role-based access, and database design • Ability to create clean, responsive UI with Tailwind CSS (or similar frameworks) • Experience working with REST APIs / GraphQL Nice-to-Haves (Tech You’ll Likely Use Here) • Tailwind CSS → for fast and modern UI development • Vercel → for seamless deployment of the Next.js app • Stripe integration → for future pricing tiers and payment collection • Twilio or SendGrid → for SMS/email guest communication
