Summary:
FAMILY DESCRIPTION:
- Executive couple with young children and 3 friendly dogs
ADDITIONAL STAFF:
- House Manager, Head Housekeeper, Chef, Nannies
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the general and specialty cleaning of the home.
- Ensure daily graces are performed; tend to kitchen, baths, and bedrooms first thing each day.
- Provide thoughtful, informed care of all fine furnishings and materials, including antiques, artwork, crystal, china, silver, brass, marble, fine linens, and cookware, etc., using proper supplies and techniques.
- Weekly deep cleaning of kitchen, including major appliances.
- Organize and maintain all clothing, closets, and drawers; perform detailed cleaning as needed; seasonally change out wardrobes.
- Care for all household laundry; perform ironing, pressing, and steaming of garments and household linens.
- Change linens on beds daily or weekly, depending on usage
- Assist with packing/unpacking and other travel needs as requested.
- Assist head housekeeper with maintaining sufficient inventories of cleaning supplies and household items.
- Assist with serving and cleaning up for dinner parties and other events.
- Attend to guests’ needs.
- Empty trash and organize recycling.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTER:
- Prior experience in a similar position with verifiable references.
- Professional demeanor and appearance with a positive, pleasant personality.
- Sound knowledge on proper care protocols with the ability to care for antiques, artwork, crystal, fine china, silver, brass, marble, fine linens, and cookware, etc.
- Flexible and able to accommodate changes in plans/routine with ease.
- Hard working; meticulous and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Discreet and respectful of principals’ privacy; willing to sign a confidentiality agreement.
- Long term intent.
- Able to communicate effectively and readily with managers and principals.
- Able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation of any limitations you may have to perform those essential functions.
- Willing to perform any other duties, as may be requested, for example dog walking.
- Able to work legally in the United States.
- Able to lift to 25 lbs. with or without accommodations.
