We’re an early-stage B2B SaaS startup building an AI-driven data science platform that helps companies unlock smarter, data-backed growth. We’re looking for a founding AI Software Engineer with strong full-stack skills to help us design, build, and deploy the core product from the ground up. This is a part-time independent contractor role (10–20 hrs/week) with the potential to evolve into a full-time leadership role with equity for the right person. You’ll work directly with the founder to bring the MVP to life and shape the long-term product and technical roadmap. ✅ We’re Looking For • 4+ years of experience as a software engineer, ideally with full-stack + AI/ML product experience • Proficiency in Python and backend frameworks (e.g. FastAPI, Flask) • Experience with ML engineering or building AI-powered systems in production • Comfortable with frontend development (React, TypeScript, or similar) • Strong grasp of modern data stacks: SQL, dbt, data warehouses, cloud functions, Docker, etc. • Bonus: Experience with growth tech (attribution, experimentation, CAC modeling), SaaS analytics platforms, or internal ML tooling • Startup DNA: You love building quickly, wearing multiple hats, and working iteratively 🌱 Why Join Us • Greenfield product – You’ll own architecture, stack, and build from scratch • Product-defining work – Your code powers real-world decision-making and growth optimization • Flexible now, scalable later – Start part-time as a contractor, with a path to full-time + equity • Direct founder access – You’ll work side-by-side with the founder in a high-trust, fast-paced environment
