Background I’m exploring the viability of a small, tightly scoped SaaS product based on a prototype I’ve built (EasyWIF, a lightweight scenario planning and forecasting tool). The concept: Users import a simple forecast file, apply scenario changes, and instantly see financial and operational impacts. I am not looking to build a full platform yet. My focus is determining whether there is a painful niche problem this tool can solve, and whether customers will pay for it. ⸻ What I’m Looking For A fractional GTM or SaaS strategist with experience in: • Validating early-stage SaaS concepts • Conducting customer discovery • Positioning products for specific niche workflows • Writing crisp value propositions and messaging • Defining testable hypotheses • Helping founders avoid overbuilding • Identifying the right early adopter niche • Outlining an MVP feature set • Advising on early pricing and packaging • Potentially assisting in outreach to 1 or 2 pilot customers This is a strategic validation role, not a marketing campaign, design job, or development project. ⸻ Project Goals 1. Identify 2 to 3 promising niches where a simple scenario or forecast tool solves a real workflow problem 2. Conduct or support 10 to 20 structured customer discovery conversations 3. Refine pain points, use cases, and willingness to pay 4. Create a crisp positioning narrative and product value proposition 5. Define a small and realistic MVP with around 3 to 5 core features 6. Outline an initial GTM strategy focused on early adopters 7.
