Job Summary:
Responsible for operating packaging equipment and packaging any products assigned that meets customer's requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort, place and pack food items into containers, boxes, or bags on the assembly line.
• Seal packages securely and apply correct labels with product info, weight, and dates.
• Inspect products for defects, damage, or inconsistencies; remove non-conforming items.
• Stack and palletize bags/boxes of finished product
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices
• Responsible for performing sanitation and cleaning of all packaging equipment

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment- food related manufacturing preferred.
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• English and/or Spanish fluency preferred.
• Ability to lift or move up to 55 pounds

Work Environment:
This position operates in a manufacturing setting with hot, cold, wet, dusty, and loud conditions. PPE is required at all times, including hearing protection, hard hat, safety glasses, and safety shoes. Must be able to stand, walk, climb, and lift up to 55 lbs.

1st, 2nd , and 3rd shift available-- training will be in the morning 6am-2:30pm or 7am-3:30pm.
