Summary

We are seeking a Fleet Coordinator to oversee our transportation operations at Midland. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient management of our fleet, which supports our mission of providing quality services to individuals with disabilities. The Fleet Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining safety standards and optimizing transportation logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the fleet, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs as needed.
  • Implement transportation management systems to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor inventory levels of supplies related to fleet operations.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for any transportation-related issues and develop solutions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure transportation needs are met effectively.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in fleet management or a related field;
  • CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with school bus endorsement required;
  • New Jersey Criminal Review Clearance;
  • Intermediate to Advanced PC skills with proficiency in:
  • MS Office including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint;
  • Experience in fleet management, transportation or operations;
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, DOT regulations and school transportation laws;
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management practices;
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems is essential;
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to analyze data and implement effective solutions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
