Finishing/Assembly Team Member Overview
- The following essential functions are the critical duties an employee must be able to perform either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation.
- The use of many different tools (Drill, Reamer, Files, Taps, Picks, etc.) to complete the finishing portion of the machined components prior to additional surface treatment or completed customer product for shipment.
- Use of power tools, hand tools or specialized machinery to remove, blend or polish rough surfaces to meeting finish requirements.
- Use precision measuring tools, (Micrometers, Indicators, Calipers, Bore Gauges, Templates etc.) to ensure conformance to product specifications.
- Assemble component using documented instructions and a Bill of Material to complete multi-level assemblies, fixturing, or tools.
- Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma
- Experience: Entry Level
- Skills and competencies: Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines. Must have a detail-oriented mindset to ensure products meet final customer expectations, Eye for Detail (20/20 Vison or corrected to 20/20), Manual dexterity/hand eye coordination. Knowledge of blueprints and understanding of finish and polishing techniques that meet specifications. Including cleanliness and packaging. Ability to use basic gauges such as micrometers, calipers and bore gauges. Training will be provided to ensure that the employee understands all processes expected within the department where there are special requirements by the customer or engineering (i.e., pressure testing, torque requirements, assembly instructions, department reporting, visual requirements, and finish requirements).
