Financial Compliance & Reporting Specialist (Entertainment / Music Industry) — 10+ hrs/week We are seeking an experienced Financial Compliance & Reporting Specialist to support a fast-growing portfolio of clients in the entertainment industry, with a strong focus on touring bands and artists. This contractor role is approximately 10-15 hours per week, with potential for increased workload as our roster expands. You will handle high-level financial oversight across multiple entities, including: • Reviewing budgets, projections, royalty statements, publishing reports, and month-end financials • Monitoring payroll accuracy (with emphasis on taxation and multi-state compliance) • Overseeing health benefits administration, insurance renewals, and audit coordination • Ensuring accurate 1099 filings, 1042 foreign artist reporting, and sales-tax compliance • Conducting ongoing reviews of financial performance, internal controls, and compliance standards • Performing financial forecasting, tax planning, and year-end closeout preparation • Supporting ad hoc operational and financial projects as needed Ideal candidates have strong experience in entertainment accounting, understand the nuances of touring income, merch, royalties, and multi-jurisdiction tax complexities, and thrive in dynamic, deadline-driven environments.
