Our company operates 7 days a week to provide service to our customers during difficult times so overtime is available including some evenings, weekends, and holidays. Lays out the foundation for monument using rule staked lines Digs trench for foundation using picks the shovel Mixes mortar and pours mortar into the trench to prepare the foundation for setting base stone Contacts cemetery groundskeeper to mark out stone location(s) prior to installation Removes sections of the monument from the truck bed and guides stone onto foundation using skids, hoist, or truck crane Aligns and levels stone using rule, square, plumb line, wedges, and crowbar Spreads mortar on stone with a trowel and sets subsequent sections of stone in position according to numbers or letters marked on stone Fills joints between the stone with mortar and finishes joints using a trowel Removes excess mortar from monument using water and brush Works as a member of a team to erect monuments Rides with a driver to deliver or set stones at cemetery gravesites to erect monuments, following diagrams and written specifications: Located grave spaces, lays out the foundation for the monument, using rule and staked lines. Inspect gravesite and fill in ruts leaving gravesite in pristine condition Photograph stone Education: GED and High School Diploma Experience: Need a valid license. Ability to follow and written specifications Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills Detail-oriented Ability to maintain control of fast-paced, multiple project environment Demonstrated professionalism and courtesy while delivering to our customers Able to understand and execute all instructions on a customer's order Physical requirements: Lift 80lbs Physical requirements include lifting, standing, bending, stooping, twisting, turning, kneeling and squatting for short periods NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
