- We are seeking a dependable and detail oriented Facilities Runner to join our Facilities Maintenance team. In the Facility Runner role, you will be responsible for operating company vehicles to transport personnel, materials, tools, and equipment between various buildings, facilities, warehouses, and off-site locations. You will play a key role in supporting our operations by ensuring timely, secure, and efficient movement of goods and personnel, while also assisting with logistical tasks and facility support projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate company vehicles (e.g., vans, trucks, utility carts, golf carts) to transport personnel, materials, equipment, and documents between facilities, buildings, warehouse, or off-site locations.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections, report any mechanical issues, and ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, and maintained.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods, ensuring materials are securely transported.
- Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, deliveries, and passenger counts.
- Support facilities and maintenance teams by running errands, such as picking up parts or supplies from vendors or warehouses.
- Perform routine facility inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and general repairs.
- Support upkeep of building interiors (offices, restrooms, break areas, shop floors) and exteriors (parking lots, landscaping, signage, walkways).
- Maintain tools, supplies, and facility maintenance equipment in good working condition.
- Assist with preventative maintenance on equipment and building systems as directed by Facilities Manager.
- Assist with special projects requiring transportation or logistical support.
- Ensure safe and efficient movement of materials to minimize disruption to facility operations.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to report delays, incidents, or special needs.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies while performing duties.

- Requirements
- Valid driver’s license is appropriate for the vehicles operated (CDL if applicable).
- Previous experience operating commercial or utility vehicles preferred.
- Experience in transportation, logistics, or facilities support a plus.
- Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and vehicle operation.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge (checking oil, tire pressure, refueling).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
- Capability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 80 pounds.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for vehicle operation.
- Ability to enter and exit vehicles repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Physical stamina to assist with loading/unloading and other manual tasks.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm, with occasional weekend assignments.
- This role is based in a boat manufacturing or repair facility. The work environment may involve exposure to chemicals and fumes, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
