Job Description Summary Under the general guidance of the Director of Food and Beverage, prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests courteously and efficiently according to hotel restaurant, lounge, and banquet standards. Job Description Duties & Functions: · Prepare beverages for guests in a timely manner and up to standards of the Director of Food and Beverage · Ensure consistent beverage preparation, presentation and quality · Exercise good judgments in determining potentially intoxicated guests · Maintain good coordination while preparing and serving orders quickly · Interact with guests and patrons · Ensure all working areas are maintained in a clean and hygienic condition at all times · Understand the operational set up and principle of the restaurant or lounge · Maintain knowledge of all menus within the hotel · Maintain stock and supplies of the banquet bar Specific Job Knowledge & Skills: · High School Diploma or equivalent required · Mixologist certification required · TIPS certification preferred · One to two years in a public contact position, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel · Enter and locate work related information using computers and/or point of sale systems · Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor · Ability to multitask, work in a fast paced environment and have a high level attention to detail · Strong verbal and written communication skills in English · Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments · Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork Physical Abilities: · Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance · Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity · Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift · Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping This job description is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of all job functions that an employee in this position may be asked to perform from time to time. Additional Job Information/Anticipated Pay Range Pay Range: $30.83 to 35.51 per hour. Pay rate outlined follows contract requirement.
