About
We’re seeking a highly creative animator or stop-motion artist to create a few short segments for a feature documentary now in post-production. This isn’t a cartoon or explainer gig—we want something original, tactile, and art-driven. The goal is to craft visually striking, emotionally resonant animation that feels handmade, raw, and alive. You’ll animate 3–5 short sequences (10–60 seconds each) that express ideas, memory, and emotion through texture, imperfection, and rhythm. Think stop motion, collage, paint, sand, found objects, or hybrid animation—anything that breaks predictability. We’re inspired by the surrealism of The Brothers Quay, the material richness of The House (Netflix), and the experimental spirit of Joanna Priestley. We’re after atmosphere, not polish.
