1. Project Overview We require an experienced IT professional to assist us with the migration of a client’s CGM APRIMA v19.4 Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. The current environment is hosted by an Application Service Provider and we are moving it to a new, client-owned self-hosted server environment (either on-premise or hosted virtualization). This project requires deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, Windows Server, and familiarity with the specific requirements of regulated healthcare applications (HIPAA/EHR). 2. Scope of Work & Deliverables (Focus Area) The hired consultant will primarily assist with the technical validation and execution of Phases 2 and 3 of our migration plan, including: Infrastructure Review: Reviewing and validating our planned Windows Server OS and SQL Server configurations to ensure they meet the specific requirements outlined in the CGM APRIMA System Requirements documentation. SQL Server Setup: Ensuring proper, production-ready installation of Microsoft SQL Server (non-Express version) and applying required prerequisites (e.g., .NET Frameworks, C++ Redistributable). Database Restoration: Assisting with the secure restoration of the CGM APRIMA database backup obtained from the previous host. Application Configuration: Assisting with the initial installation of the CGM APRIMA Application Server and database connection string configuration. Validation: Running post-restore validation checks and troubleshooting any database or application connectivity issues. 3. Required Experience & Skills (Non-Negotiable) Expert Level: Microsoft Windows Server (2016-2022) Administration and Active Directory. Expert Level: Microsoft SQL Server (2016-2022) installation, configuration, and backup/restore procedures. High Proficiency: Experience with or strong understanding of Electronic Health Record (EHR) system migrations and HIPAA security protocols. Technical Familiarity: Demonstrated ability to read and implement system requirements from vendor documentation (e.g., configuring RAID for SQL data, utilizing SSD for temp DB). Communication: Excellent English communication skills for close collaboration with our MSP technical team and CGM APRIMA Support. 4. Preferred Experience (A Plus) Direct experience migrating or supporting CGM APRIMA (formerly Aprima) or similar EHR/Practice Management systems. Experience with firewall/network configurations required for healthcare environments (e.g., VPNs, SonicWALL). 5. Confirmation that you understand SQL Express is not supported for production on this platform and that the new server must rely on Active Directory for user authentication.
