esponsibilities • Claims Submission: Prepare, code, and submit insurance claims through EMR and billing platforms. Track claims and follow up on missing documentation or rejections. • Payment Posting & Denial Management: Post payments, reconcile accounts, and resolve denials or rejections efficiently. Handle appeals and ensure timely resubmission. • Revenue Reporting: Maintain accurate billing records and generate basic monthly revenue summaries. • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in billing workflows and recommend process or tooling improvements. • Credentialing Support (as needed): Assist with provider credentialing, payer enrollment, and insurance verification. ⸻ Requirements • 5+ years of hands-on medical billing & coding experience • Strong knowledge of insurance verification, claims submission, denials, and revenue cycle management • Experience with Office Ally, Healthie, or similar EMR/billing software • Able to work independently and manage billing end-to-end • Comfort with Medicare and commercial payers preferred • Available 20–40 hours/month, flexible to adapt based on workload Bonus Skills: • Experience with chronic care management (CCM/BHI) billing codes • Familiarity with healthcare startups or small practices
