Hi Upworkers! I represent a growing Publishing organization and need your help. We need Beta Readers to provide feedback on our upcoming titles in the Romance genre (starting with Regency and Western romances). We are looking to create an ongoing business relationship with the chosen bidder(s). This is not an once off job, there are many future projects in the pipeline. Themes of the stories include relationships both in the contemporary and historical era. - NATIVE English speakers only. - Meticulous and professional people. - Must be experienced and have excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation. - Ideally, have prior experience writing for the specific genres. - Small research in the niche or topic might be required in order to understand the MINDSET of the READERS. A typical process would look like this: - We provide the manuscript (usually in milestones of 20K words) - We share some niche insights to have in mind - You read the text and provide feedback on the plot, characters, theme, etc. - You also check for plot holes, problems with continuity, characterisation or believability - For each 20k words part of the book, you provide a summary of around 1-2K words for the story thus far READ THE FOLLOWING SECTION CAREFULLY IF YOU WISH TO BID FOR THIS JOB: *** You agree that you will NOT have any claim on the rights of the work or parts of the work and you understand/agree your name will NOT appear anywhere on the work.
