*PROJECT OVERVIEW* We need to fix and improve our existing PowerPoint template. Staff keeps running into problems with the current version, and we want to make it foolproof while still looking good. PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR APPROACH TO SOLVING THE ISSUES BELOW. *BACKGROUND* We rolled out a PPT template that gave people too many options and created technical problems. People are going rogue, breaking things, and getting frustrated. The examples in the zip file show what's been happening in the wild. *WHAT WE NEED* Someone who can: - Fix the technical issues noted below in the PPT master pages - Simplify layouts while maintaining design quality - Think through edge cases and user error - Create clear documentation for non-designers - Understand accessibility considerations *DELIVERABLES* - Updated PPT template with all issues fixed in master pages - Multiple photo layout options (2-3 solutions) - Headshot-friendly slide alternative - Simplified color palette with accessible alternatives - One-page style guide for staff (what to do, what not to do) - Setup instructions for any end-of-deck tasks *TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS* - Must work in PowerPoint (Windows and Mac) - Uses Tenorite typeface by default - Locked elements that prevent common user errors - Dark blue backgrounds only - Bottom-aligned images that work every time - Foolproof pagination *ATTACHED* Zipped file includes current template + examples of real use cases that show the issues being experienced *DETAILED PROBLEMS TO SOLVE* 1. Page Numbers Breaking Right now when people add slides, the pagination stops working. Sometimes it auto-populates, sometimes it doesn't. Even when they try to reset it in the exact same spot, it still fails. We need this to work perfectly every time, with clear instructions for staff at the end. 2. Image Alignment Issues Images on the right side don't consistently reach the bottom edge. They need to be perfectly aligned to the bottom every time. 3. Too Many Options We gave people too many image layouts and background options. It's creating inconsistency. Let's simplify to only dark blue backgrounds to keep everything looking uniform. 4. Text Box Sizing Problems When people combine PPTs, locked text boxes change font size when resized. We need a way to lock in our recommended size, or at least clear guidance in a style guide. 5. Color Accessibility Issue We have brand colors built in, but we have a color-blind team member who can't differentiate between the two blues. Please adjust color palette to eliminate the redundant Navy Blue. 6. Font Rendering Problems The current Figtree font requires manual download to render correctly, and not everyone can do this easily. We would like to switch to Tenorite, which can be used directly in Windows without an additional download. https://font.download/font/tenorite 7. Angled Image Problems The angled image treatment looks great but fails with headshots - it cuts off part of their head. Need an alternative solution for headshot scenarios. 8. Multiple Photo Layouts Need template solutions for when people want to show more than one photo.
