About

🔥 The Opportunity Cornell Communities is a fast-growing real-estate investment firm that acquires and improves mobile-home communities across the U.S. I’m the founder — I move quickly between acquisitions, investor relations, and operations. I’m looking for a long-term partner who thrives in an environment where priorities shift daily but systems bring order to the chaos. If you’re someone who loves to get things done, design clarity out of complexity, and grow your career fast, this will be one of the most rewarding roles you’ll ever take. ⸻ 🧭 What You’ll Do You’ll be my execution partner — managing moving parts across operations, investor relations, and acquisitions. Operations (≈40%) • Call vendors, municipalities, and tenants to push projects forward. • Coordinate repairs, permits, and on-site work with contractors. • File documents, update property folders, and keep Google Drive organized. Investor Relations (≈30%) • Keep investor notes and follow-ups organized. • Support investor newsletters and CRM updates. • Communicate professionally with U.S.-based investors and partners. Acquisitions & Data (≈20%) • Track inbound deals, update underwriting files, and follow up with sellers/brokers. • Keep deal data clean and ready for review. Systems & Process (≈10%) • Build SOPs and dashboards in Asana or Notion to keep operations smooth. • Spot inefficiencies, propose improvements, and document new workflows. ⸻ 💪 What Winning Looks Like ✅ You keep everything organized — no balls dropped. ✅ You follow through on details without constant supervision. ✅ You turn voice notes or Looms into clear, actionable task lists. ✅ You design structure that makes the business more efficient each month. ✅ You communicate updates early, clearly, and confidently. ⸻ 💡 About You • Excellent spoken and written English — confident on calls with U.S. vendors and investors. • Highly organized and detail-oriented. • Fast learner; curious about real-estate investing and systems. • Calm under pressure; thrives when priorities shift. • Proactive — you don’t wait to be told twice. • Comfortable using Notion, Asana, Google Drive, Slack, and Loom (training provided). Bonus if: You’ve worked in real estate, property management, or investor relations before. ⸻ 📈 What’s in It for You • Direct mentorship from a founder scaling a national portfolio. • Long-term, stable role (not one-off projects). • Room to grow into Ops Manager or Chief of Staff. • Flexible hours, outcome-based culture, and a high-trust environment. ⸻ 💬 How to Apply Please send: 1. Your resume or Upwork profile link, and 2. A 2-minute Loom or video answering these 5 questions: 1️⃣ Tell me about yourself and what kind of work you enjoy most. 2️⃣ Walk me through a time you handled very different tasks in one week. How did you stay organized? 3️⃣ What systems or tools have you used to keep projects moving when your boss was busy? 4️⃣ How do you make sure you sound professional and confident when speaking with U.S. contacts on the phone? 5️⃣ Why are you interested in working directly with a founder in a fast-moving real-estate business? Include the phrase “clarity is leverage” in your cover letter so I know you read the full post. ⸻ 💵 Pay & Commitment • $1,000–$1,500/month to start (full-time, long-term role). • Pay increases quickly with performance and responsibility. • Start part-time (20 hours/week) during onboarding, then ramp up. ⸻ 🧩 Why This Matters This is not a typical “assistant” role. You’ll be my operational backbone — the reason projects move, investors stay informed, and deals close on time. If you crave growth, ownership, and purpose — apply.
