Your next career opportunity As the Executive Assistant to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous) at the University of Melbourne, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting strategic initiatives that enhance Indigenous education, research, and community engagement. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll ensure the operational efficiency of the DVC's office, managing complex schedules, correspondence, and high-level meetings. This role offers you the chance to contribute to transformative work in Indigenous higher education, leveraging your exceptional organisational skills and cultural competency. You'll be at the heart of initiatives that shape the University's commitment to Indigenous excellence, collaborating with diverse stakeholders and supporting critical decision-making processes. Your responsibilities will include: Manage Executive Operations: Coordinate appointments, prepare documentation, and handle correspondence for the DVC Indigenous. Provide High-Level Support: Draft correspondence, reports, and other documents with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism. Facilitate Governance: Offer secretariat support to Boards and Committees, ensuring efficient meeting management and follow-up. Liaise with Stakeholders: Develop effective relationships with senior University personnel and key external clients. You may be a great fit if: You are an experienced executive assistant with strong cultural competency, capable of providing high-level support in a dynamic university environment while demonstrating sensitivity to Indigenous perspectives and priorities. You may also: Have substantial experience in a similar role supporting senior executives. Demonstrate sound judgment, diplomacy, and discretion in handling sensitive information. Show exceptional organisational skills, able to prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Be action-oriented, versatile, and self-motivated with strong initiative.
